Manchester United fans have been left confused by the club’s decision to cool interest in Antoine Griezmann this summer.
He was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, claiming there was a six out of 10 chance of him joining Man United as he prepared himself to leave Atletico Madrid to win trophies.
However, reports on Thursday claim the club have cooled interest in the Frenchman with Man United now focusing their efforts on signing a new striker this summer, with fears Zlatan Ibrahimovic could leave at the end of this month once his contract expires.
Here’s what supporters on social media had to say about the situation.
Mourinho has wanted Griezmann every single summer since 2014. I very much doubt it's a case of cooling interest but we'll see.

Find it interesting all this “#MUFC cool interest in Griezmann because of Ibra injury” is only coming out now. He’s been injured a month.

Still pretty remarkable #mufc aren't as hot for Griezmann now. Need a No.9 and a No.10.

Woodward wants a marquee signing,Griezmann is that, not Belotti. Can`t see why United should cool the deal now suddenly because of Zlatan..

Be gutted if we dont go for Griezmann but Lukaku is a must if were after a No9

Griezmann is incredibly talented, however, his move should not have been dependent on Ibrahimovic’s status at the club, because even if the big Swede does work his way back he’ll need to take it easy to avoid another potential career-ending injury.
The Frenchman would be a brilliant addition at Old Trafford but if he isn’t available and a new striker is a top priority, Romelu Lukaku would be the best choice as he’s Premier League proven, looking to play Champions League football and has been promised that he can Leave Everton this summer.
