Sergio Ramos is hopeful Manchester United will sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid this summer as it would still benefit Real Madrid.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, after rating his chances of moving to Man United as ‘six out of ten’ the previous week.
He claimed he was ready to leave Atletico to win silverware, and although club officials have confirmed he hasn’t asked to leave yet, there has been increasing speculation over his future.
Speaking about a potential move, Ramos is not surprised the top clubs in the world are interested in Griezmann.
“If they [Manchester United] take him, if they take him out from Atletico, it would be less of a problem for us ahead of next season,” Ramos told Cadena Cope when asked about Griezmann’s potential move to the English club.
“Every footballer is their own world and one must make these kind of decisions. Sometimes they are difficult and sometimes they are not.
“Everyone has to decide where he wants to be, where he is going to be happy. He is a great striker and obviously, the top clubs express interest in getting their services. He can decide what he wants.”
He will be joining the France squad for the games against Paraguay and Sweden next week and a decision on his future is expected soon.
With 26 goals in total for Atleti last season, Griezmann is a massive talent and will continue to be linked with Man United as they look to sign a goal-scoring threat.
