Jesse Lingard has been full of praise for Paul Pogba and believes his attitude was key to Manchester United’s successful season.
Man United won the Community Shield, the EFL Cup and the Europa League in their first campaign under Jose Mourinho, also achieving their main aim of Champions League football in the process.
He played alongside Pogba in United’s youth setup for three years before the Frenchman left for Juventus and believes his energy has rubbed off on the entire team since his £89 million move last summer.
“He has settled back in,” he said.
“He is a fun, vibrant lad and he gives a lot of good energy off, especially in the changing room.
“He can make the atmosphere very good before games and really get you on it.”
He’s been incredible since his arrival and although he’s often been unfairly criticised for not picking up enough goals, supporters are aware of his ability to dominate the midfield play and orchestrate games.
Pogba is already a world-class talent, but there’s still more to come as the 24-year-old picks up more experience under Mourinho at Old Trafford as he has all the attributes to become a top player.
