Romelu Lukaku has confirmed negotiations over his future are underway, claiming he wants to win the Premier League and Champions League.
He’s been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United as his agent Mino Raiola is in the process of concluding talks with Everton’s hierarchy.
Jose Mourinho is on the lookout for a new striker this summer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to miss the start of the next season following knee ligament damage.
Man United have turned their attention from Antione Griezmann to signing a new number nine and Lukaku, Andrea Belotti and Alvaro Morata all fit the profile.
Speaking about a potential move, Lukaku claims he wants to win trophies in England.
“I know what’s going on, but I let my agent finish things,” he said.
“In the end I do take the decision. I want to improve and enhance myself.
“We are in talks with the club. I want to play in the Champions League, and try to win the Premier League a few times.
“I’ll take the decision.”
Their valuation of Lukaku is upwards of £80m, however, at the age of 24, it would be a solid investment as he’s Premier League proven and has plenty of time left to become a top player.
Man United have the funds available after the Griezmann deal fell through but Mourinho will face stiff competition for his signature.
