Paul Pogba has spoken out about his relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United, claiming he’s a player that has always helped the team on and off the pitch.
The big Swede scored 28 goals across all competitions since his free transfer from Paris St-Germain last summer, however, he was ruled out after picking up a serious knee injury earlier in the season.
He is set to miss the start of next campaign as he’ll continue to be sidelined and there are doubts he’ll still be at the club as he is yet to sign a new deal with his contract expiring at the end of the month.
Speaking about his team-mate, Pogba claims Zlatan has always given his all to help the team.
“He’s a player who has helped has a lot on and off the pitch, he’s a wonderful person, incredibly funny and I spend any great moments with him,” he said.
“He’s a winner on the pitch and he added that mentality to the team as he scored a lot of goals even though not many people would have thought it due to his age. He was unlucky and suffered an injury but he won three trophies with us. He will always be Zlatan.”
The pair have always gotten on well, with their social posts from when both first arrived at the club, to their chemistry on the pitch and the way they are around each other.
It’ll be a sad way for him to end his career at Old Trafford and Zlatan has been working hard to ensure he doesn’t end his glittering career with an injury.
