Manchester United have made a new €40 million offer to Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
However, Inter have not accepted a deal as they are not willing to consider an offer under €50 million for the 28-year-old who has been massively linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Di Marzio also claims the perception of Inter officials is that Perisic has already reached an agreement with United and wants to leave this summer even though Luciano Spalletti claims Perisic is important to his future project.
The 28-year-old scored 11 goals and registered 7 assists last campaign as Inter came to a disappointing seventh-place finish.
United are in the market for several top players in the summer as he looks to bolster his options to help the squad challenge for silverware in the Champions League and Premier League.
They are said to be close to moves for Benfica centre-back Victor Lindelof and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata as United hope to complete their summer business early to avoid any potential sagas.
It seems like Perisic could also be on that list as Di Marzio believes a deal could be completed once both clubs agree on a fee.
