Everton, West Ham and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Manchester United defender Chris Smalling this summer, according to reports.

He is allegedly set to be sold by Jose Mourinho as he’s failed to showcase how he’ll fit into the squad at Old Trafford following a string of disappointing performances.

Although he performed well in the Europa League final, it seems like he could be on his way out after signing from Fulham in January 2010 for a fee in the region of £10m.

Palace and West Ham are yet to make any concrete advancements, however, a move to Everton could see him playing in Europe as they challenge in the Europa League next term.

Victor Lindelof is set to take his place at Old Trafford as he’ll be partnered with Eric Bailly in the centre of defence following his £31m deal.

A fee for the Swede has been met after the January transfer fell through and he’ll be heading to England next week to finalise a switch following a medical.

Lindelof is on international duty for Sweden against Norway and will be available on Wednesday to get the deal over the line.
