Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos claims he doesn’t know if he’ll still be playing alongside Alvaro Morata next season following a potential Manchester United transfer.
Jose Mourinho has stepped up interested in the Spaniard as he cooled interest in Antione Griezmann after his decision to stay at Atletico Madrid during the current transfer ban.
He returned to Real from Juventus at the beginning of last season as they activated a €30m buy-back clause in his contract, however, he has only started 14 La Liga matches and one Champions League game and has been utilised as a backup to Karim Benzema.
Speaking about a potential move, Ramos claims the decision to keep him at the club is not his to make.
“I have a special affection for him and I always wish him the best,” he said.
“It is not up to me if he stays.”
He’s still managed 20 goals in all competitions with a lack of game time and is wanted by Europe’s elite as United lead the race in a deal said to be worth around €70m.
United are looking to push through a deal as soon as possible to try and avoid a transfer saga, and with Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently released from the club, they are really in need of a new top striking talent.
