Zinedine Zidane is open to Gareth Bale leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
He has been massively linked with a move to Old Trafford and is allegedly the closest he’s even been to a Man United transfer.
Madrid are said to be prepared for life without Bale as the money used in his move would all be collected to bring French sensation Kylian Mbappe in from Monaco.
Florentino Perez and Zidane are frustrated at the amount of game time Bale has lost to injury over the past 12 months and are willing to let him leave even though he was the natural successor to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Should Madrid chose to sell him this summer, there will be plenty of clubs interested in his services, however, after Jose Mourinho’s marquee signing Antoine Griezmann decided to stay at Atletico Madrid, the money will still be in place to make a move happen.
Bale would be incredible at Old Trafford but at this point, we’ve been linked with him for so long I don’t think a move would actually materialise as it’d be hard to negotiate a fee for a player of his calibre.
