From France: Serge Aurier wants to leave Paris Saint Germain this summer

Paris Saint Germain right back and Manchester United target Serge Aurier wants to leave the French side this summer, according to reports from France.

The 24-year-old, who arrived at the Parc de Princes back in 2014, has been on Jose Mourinho’s radar and reportedly agreed a move to Old Trafford following talks with the Portuguese back in April.

Man United have also identified Benfica’s Nelson Semedo and AS Monaco’s Fabinho, although primarily used as a defensive midfielder, as other potential options at right back.

And according to France Football, the Ivorian wants to leave Paris this summer and, along with United, has attracted interest from the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan.

There appears to be something of a minor exodus at PSG following a difficult campaign under new boss Unai Emery, with Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti also keen on a move elsewhere.

Supporters may not think that an addition at right back is necessary after Antonio Valencia proved both un-injurable and undroppable last season, but the Ecuadorian will be 32 soon and cannot, surely, maintain that same sort of intensity for much longer.

And Aurier would serve as an ideal accompaniment: few full-backs – or anybody, for that matter – can match the Ivorian’s sheer power and intensity going forward.
