Ji-sung Park believes Marcus Rashford can be one of Manchester United’s best players

Ji-sung Park has singled out Marcus Rashford for praise following a highly successful campaign under Jose Mourinho last season.

The youngster made an explosive start to life in the senior side by claiming four goals in his opening two games and receiving a place on the plane to Euro 2016 as a result.

He continued to impress under Jose Mourinho and ended up making more appearances last season (53) than any other member of the squad.

And Park, speaking to MUTV, was quick to heap praise on the 19-year-old.

“Actually, yes [there is somebody]. Marcus Rashford has done really well,” he said. “He had a great first season and then people had really high expectations but he showed his quality on the pitch in the second season.

“He’s improving with that pressure on him and that is quite impressive for me. If he can keep doing things like he is now, and progressing, he can be one of the best players.”

Rashford’s debut season at Man United was a demonstration of the game-changing damage he can inflict – the hollywood moments, if you will.

His second season, however, revealed that he was much more than a quick, flashy forward: the teenager is a warrior too, capable of not just eviscerating opponents but also being on hand to run hard and operate alongside teammates for the entirety of a gruelling 64 match season.

And that, more than anything, is what will help the youngster thrive as he moves forward at Old Trafford.
