Manchester United are in advanced talks with Everton over Romelu Lukaku as they hope to come to a deal for Wayne Rooney this summer, according to reports.
The Englishman is a target for the Toffees as he’s struggled for first-team football at Old Trafford and both parties are negotiating a move as they look to overcome Rooney’s massive £250,000-a-week wages.
On the other end, Lukaku has been a long-term target at United and although he’s been linked with a Chelsea move, it seems United have found a way to bring him to Old Trafford.

He left Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis in 2014 as Mourinho sold him to Everton and it seems like he hasn’t held a grudge against with the Portuguese boss.
Lukaku is currently on holiday with United’s Paul Pogba and reports claim he is open to working with Mourinho once again and he’d be an excellent addition as United look to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was recently released by the club after picking up a serious knee injury.
Mino Raiola represents Lukaku and United seem to hold the cards after three of his clients, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, made the move to Old Trafford last summer.
