Theo Griezmann might not be able to get excited about his brother Antoine Griezmann joining Manchester United this summer but that’s alright – he’s now got Romelu Lukaku.
Theo, a well known Man United fan, was buzzing the whole way through the Griezmann to Man United saga and as soon as the news broke about United agreeing a £75m fee with Everton for Lukaku, Theo took to Twitter to show his excitement. He loves it, United fans love it and somewhere in Spain, Griezmann himself is probably giving a little fist pump as well.
Lukaku is expected to be announced as a new United player before the squad flies out to America on Sunday for the pre-season tour and he has been granted permission by Everton not to return for pre-season training, so he’s stayed out in LA where United’s first opponents play.
He might not be Alvaro Morata which is who everybody expected but with over 120 top flight games under his belt, 80+ Premier League goals and so much more to grow as a player because he’s still only 24, Lukaku is all set to become United’s new No.9 and Theo Griezmann’s buzzing about it.
