Jesse Lingard has explained how new players Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof have both settled in since joining Manchester United this summer.
The duo had been training with their new team-mates for the last five days and made their debuts against LA Galaxy in the opening game of the pre-seaosn tour of America.
While Lindelof has instantly settled into the team, it was clear that Lukaku needed some more time to get to know the rest of the players and build up some chemistry with his fellow team-mates.
Speaking about the duo, Lingard believes they both have what it takes to make it at Old Trafford.
“The new boys are settling in well. You can see from the squad we have it’s an easy group to settle into and you can see from training they’re enjoying themselves and doing well,” he said.
“Any new signings are always welcomed into the group. They’ve settled in very quickly and they have adapted very quickly too.
“You saw what Romelu did last season for Everton. He scored a lot of goals in a lot of important games and hopefully he can bring that to the table for United.”
“When you welcome the new signings and some of the youngsters are with us too and everyone is trying to impress and fight for their place which is good.”
They’ve both been brilliant so far, but there’s more to come as they continue to pick up experience and settled into the squad at United.
