Manchester United fans were happy with Victor Lindelof’s debut in their opening game of the pre-season tour of America against LA Galaxy.
He was Jose Mourinho’s first signing of the summer transfer window and has partnered Eric Bailly in the centre of defence, fitting into the side effortlessly.
The Swede was introduced at the start of the second-half and performed as if he had been alongside the United players for years, looking comfortable and more confident with every step he took.
Here’s what supporters on social media had to say about his performance.
Lindelof not given the nickname "The Iceman" for no reason. 22 years of age and slotting in between Bailly and Tuanzebe effortlessly.

Lindelof really impressive on the ball, roaming forward regularly. As a Swedish journalist said, 'like David Luiz without the drama'. #mufc

Damn I've missed a marauding CB who's fantastic on the ball. So good to see that from Lindelof.

Lindelof looks the part.

He’s the type of player we’ve lacked at Old Trafford and his arrival at the squad has filled a gap left in the side by inconsistencies over the course of last season.
Lindelof was composed and controlled the play at the back, and paired with Eric Bailly, has showcased the potential the pair possess, with many supporters linking them with the legendary pairing of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
He gives Mourinho more options and is the type of player that gives the rest of the squad around him more confidence to play further forward without having to worry about his defensive duties.
