Inter Milan Coach, Luciano Spalletti, has discussed the reality of Ivan Perisic joining Manchester United this summer.
He played in the side’s 2-0 win over Bayern Munich, providing an assist for Eder for the second goal, even though he was expected to complete a move to Old Trafford before the pre-season tour of China.
However, both sides have failed to meet on a price as they want €55m for Perisic, or are willing to drop the asking price but only if Anthony Martial is included in the deal.
Speaking about a potential move, Spalletti has confirmed he would like to keep hold of Perisic.
“I know him well, everyone knows him,” he said.
“For me the talk is always the same when it comes to him. He’s strong, he’s a player I want to keep with me, but then we must consider the opinion of the club and the player.
It’s clear Inter are trying to keep hold of their star asset and they’re going a pretty long way to ensuring he doesn’t leave by trying to force United to pay unjustifiable fees.
Mourinho will be hoping a deal will be wrapped up soon, but with Inter playing hardball, a potential transfer remains to be seen.
