McTominay came on with 30 minutes left and produced a silky performance in midfield, calmly picking out teammates and claiming Man United’s third of the night.
Tuanzebe was a half time substitute and once again looked completely at ease, this time as a left sided centre back in a defensive trio.
Supporters were quick to heap praise on what was a fantastic display of United’s young talent in Oslo.
McTominay looks a player. Only 20. His control in midfield & passing for a young lad is very good! Looks like he could have a good career

Hope Tuanzebe gets decent minutes this season, so much ability there. 352 being an option for us definitely helps him

Tuanzebe so strong and quick making some awkward pieces of defending look simple

There is something alluring about the way McTominay goes about his business in midfield: positionally astute, seemingly always in space, brilliant with his execution and, as displayed in emhatic fashion just ten minutes after coming on, blessed with an eye for goal.
Mourinho was keen to involve him during the latter stages of last season and you can see why. Midfield places will be hard to come by over the next nine months but he has proved himself to be a dynamic asset in the middle.
Tuanzebe, on the other hand, has been known to United fans for some time. The teenager oozes class on the ball and can crucially play in a variety of positions, displaying the same kind of ice cold temperament and awareness of what surrounds him wherever he ends up – an important asset, you sense, ahead of next term.
