Nemanja Matic has been unveiled as Manchester United’s third summer signing by Jose Mourinho behind Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku.
Finally, Man United have signed a defensive midfielder and Mourinho chose to sign Matic for the second time in his managerial career having brought him back to Chelsea from SL Benfica in 2014.
Reds who have been waiting to see Matic in his United colours don’t need to wait any more – Matic is red.
Matic has taken the No.31 left vacant at the club since Bastian Schweinsteiger was left and fans will all be hoping Matic’s time at United goes a little bit better than the German veteran, and it certainly will.
When we signed Schweinsteiger he was in the twilight of his career, Matic has plenty of prime years ahead of him and after a long time waiting for a midfield which was capable of challenging we have now got Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Matic. What a trio.
