Inter Milan are expected to meet with Ivan Perisic’s agent in the coming days to finalise a move to Manchester United, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho has been keen on signing the winger this summer and was hoping to sign him on a cheap as Inter had to comply with Financial Fair play regulations, however, after raising the funds through smaller deals, Inter have been keen on keeping hold of their star asset,
The Old Trafford club have refused to meet the €55m asking price for his signature and although Inter are still willing to talk, the offer would need to be 50m plus Anthony Martial on loan, or the full €55m.
Man United have already spent around €164m on players this summer, following the arrivals of Victor Lindelof from Benfica, Romelu Lukaku from Everton and Nemanja Matic from Chelsea.
Mourinho has previously confirmed he could be forced into only signing three players this summer as the market has been difficult, especially in the deal for Perisic.
There is a chance Perisic will remain at San Siro, but will be looking for a new contract after having his move to Old Trafford turned down.
