Jose Mourinho has urged Ed Woodward to deliver a fourth and final signing this summer after securing Nemanja Matic earlier this week.
The Portuguese, with negotiations for targets struggling to progress, recently conceded that he would be happy with three out of the four signings he requested back in May.
And Ed Woodward, to his credit, has managed to prize Nemanja Matic away from Chelsea for £40m – a deal that seemed unlikely following Romelu Lukaku’s move to Old Trafford.
Mourinho, with just under a month of the transfer window still left, has now encouraged the vice chairman to push for a fourth signing this summer.
Jose: "The club did a fantastic job in getting three out of four players. I thank the club for that. I’ll be happier with four out of four."

The main name on everybody’s lips remains Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, but agreeing on a figure has proven impossible since June and with Anthony Martial now being demanded in return, talks are unlikely to progress and could perhaps even break down – unless Inter do finally relent and lower their £45m valuation of the winger.
Another name that has, at least in France, started to pop up quite frequently is that of Serge Aurier from Paris Saint Germain, with various domestic reports claiming that the Ivorian has agreed personal terms with United after Unai Emery confirmed he has asked to leave the club.
Supporters will, no doubt, want to see another addition before the window shuts on August 31.
