Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that Manchester United have moved on from trying to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer as Jose Mourinho looked to sign him on a cheap while Inter had to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, however, after making the money with a number of smaller deals, Inter have been trying to keep hold of Perisic.
They set an unjustifiable valuation of around £50m on his services and were only willing to negotiate if Anthony Martial was included in the deal going the other way.
Here’s what Di Marzio had to say about the situation.

He was keen on playing under Mourinho in England but will be offered a new and improved contract as Inter hope to keep him at the San Siro next season.
A deal could still happen, however, it seems like United understand there’s a slim chance of getting a deal over the line, with the Portuguese boss confirming he could be forced into only accepting three new signings this summer instead of the four he had hoped for.
