Manchester United keen on making two more signings this summer – report

Manchester United remain intent on making two more additions to the squad before the transfer window closes, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho pin-pointed four areas he wanted to improve this summer – a striker, defensive midfielder, a winger and defender – and has already secured the services of Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.

His search for a winger continues, however, with the Portuguese expressing interest in Gareth Bale and efforts still being made to sign Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic.

But according to M.E.N‘s Samuel Luckhurst, Mourinho will look to make two more additions before the window shuts at the end of the month.

The 54-year-old has publicly stated his demand for a different kind of winger and that, of course, should be the priority. Perisic continues to be a target but Inter have proven to be obstinate to say the least in their stance over the Croat.

Not many other options appear to be on the cards, which may explain why Mourinho, over the last couple of weeks, has reverted to a back three model and opted for targets capable of playing as a wing back instead.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose, Paris Saint Germain’s Serge Aurier and Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto have all emerged as potential options, but can the club get business done with the clock ticking?
