Serge Aurier set to sign a five-year deal with Manchester United – report

Paris Saint-Germain full-back Serge Aurier is set to sign a five-year deal with Manchester United, according to reports.

He is allegedly on his way to Old Trafford this summer as Jose Mourinho aims to strengthen his defensive options.

Aurier would be a boost to Jose Mourinho’s squad ahead of the new season, with Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian the current choices.

He has made 57 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG since joining the club in 2014 and has faced hurdles as he looks to continue his career, as he had an altercation with a police officer last year and was denies entry into the UK for PSG’s clash with Arsenal in November.

Aurier has since launched an appeal and will be hoping for good news as he wants to be ready for the start of the Premier League.

A move this summer will end a decorated spell at the Parc des Princes as he’s won two Ligue 1 titles, three Coupes de la Ligue and three Coupes de France.

With 39 caps for Ivory Coast, he also won the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and is clearly very experienced, which is why I’m not surprised to hear Mourinho has tried to sign him this summer.
