Jose Mourinho confirms Manchester United may not sign another player this summer

Jose Mourinho has confirmed the stance on Manchester United’s fourth signing this summer, claiming he could be forced to head into the Premier League season without.

He has been heavily linked with a move for Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan as he tried to sign the Croation on a cheap while the Serie A side had to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, however, after raising the funds through smaller deals, they’ve been set on keeping hold of their star asset.

Although a deal for Perisic is not dead, he’s edging closer to a new Inter contract each day and as Mourinho says, unless they get a new advancement which puts them in front of the game, it’ll be difficult to get a deal over the line.

Speaking about a new signing, Mourinho insists he’s happy with his current squad.

“Unless something happens that puts us in the market again. Obviously, my plans were four but I also told them to be cool, there is no pressure from me, do what you think is best for the club,” he said.

“We will be together again for another window in January and one next summer so there is no pressure at all from me. I am happy with the squad we have. I’m ready to go without a fourth signing.”

It’s a shame but as United have proven in the 4-0 victory over West Ham, they have the talent to challenge in the Premier League this season.

If Anthony Martial can continue to perform and keep consistent, the Portuguese boss will not have a problem out on the wings.
