Manchester United have been given a huge boost in the race to sign Thomas Lemar as he would rather play under Jose Mourinho than Arsene Wenger, according to Duncan Castles.
He appears to have changed his desire for when he leaves Monaco as he hopes to follow in the footsteps of Anthony Martial and make his future under Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese boss has been in need of a wide player as a move for Ivan Perisic has stalled this summer as they dig their heels in the ground, unwilling to move from thier valuation unless Anthony Martial is included in the deal going the other way.
Castles claims Lemar would prefer Old Trafford over the Emirates but he may have to wait until next summer as Monaco hope to keep hold of as many players as they can.

Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho could still make an exit which is why there are doubts Lemar would actually be allowed to leave, however, it seems if he does make the move, Old Trafford will be his preferred destination.
Lemar would have been a brilliant signing but there are doubts a move will actually go through as Monaco don’t have long to bring in any potential replacements.
