Peter Lim flying in to Manchester to negotiate a deal for Andreas Pereira – report

Valencia owner Peter Lim is flying to Manchester to complete a loan deal for Andreas Pereira, according to reports.

Marca claim a deal could be announced within a few hours as Super Deporte report report Mourinho will allow Pereira to leave Old Trafford on loan.

He has only made a handful of appearances since progressing from the academy and it’s a shame because he’s clearly so talented and has the potential to become a top player.

The 21-year-old was on loan at La Liga side Granada last term and played an important role, making 35 appearances, showing his class and ability.

Mourinho was allegedly reluctant to send him out on loan, however, Lim has offered Pereira a first-team role for Valencia.

He would have been hoping to make his mark at Old Trafford this year, especially after impressing on the pre-season tour, but it seems he could be set for another temporary move.

As hard as it must be for Mourinho as he’ll be wanting to give Pereira more game time, a loan move to Valencia may make sense if he understands first-team opportunities will be limited this campaign.
