Andreas Pereira is excited to get his Valencia career underway having completed a deadline day move to the Spanish side.
Having spent last year on loan at Granada, Pereira is accustomed to life in Spain and much to the surprise of lots of United fans, Jose Mourinho decided to let him leave on loan rather than stay as part of our squad this season.
He’s already good enough to play for United’s first-team but in the interest of development, Pereira will now spend the year with Valencia and he’s looking forward to the project.
Writing on his official Twitter account, Pereira said: “Very happy to be here at @valenciacf !! Looking forward to help the team with this year’s objectives!

United showed their commitment to Pereira by offering him a new contract at the same time as loaning him out but I do still have question marks over his ability to break into United’s squad after spending two full years out on loan. I’m not sure any player has done that at United.
But Pereira is a top drawer player – somebody who has so much potential to become an absolutely class midfielder and I really do hope he smashes it out with Valencia and then comes back to United an even better, more developed player.
Then we could see him break into United’s first-team. In the mean time, we’ll have to follow his progress on loan which we always do and hope he’ll nail it in Spain.
