Andreas Pereira has been working hard in training after completing his loan move to Valencia from Manchester United.

The Brazilian, who enjoyed a superb spell with Granada last season, initially made it clear that he would remain at Old Trafford and fight for his place in the first time, with Jose Mourinho keen on handing him a chance.

But he ultimately decided to join up with Valencia and new boss Marcelino – with whom La Liga side have made a promising start to the season – on a season-long loan with no option to buy.

And Pereira was pictured working hard with the first team earlier today ahead of Saturday’s clash with Atletico Madrid at the Mestalla.

Pereira would have been foolish to turn down such a glorious opportunity. This is not, after all, the Valencia of the past few years, but rather a side packed with youthful Spanish talent placing emphasis on a positive, slick, interchanging attacking dynamic, alongside the typical steeliness of any Valencia team.

He immediately acclimatised to La Liga with Granada despite suffering relegation and made the top five, just behind Lionel Messi and Neymar, for most completed dribbles last season. He will, no doubt, see the next nine months at Los Che as a chance to continue the finest string of form so far in his short senior career.
