Manchester United target Gareth Bale eyeing Premier League return next summer – report

Manchester United target Gareth Bale is eyeing a move to the Premier League next summer following a frustrating start to the season with Real Madrid, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho publicly stated last month that he would fight to sign the Welshman if he was surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu.

And Madrid president Florentino Perez has recently admitted that, soon after handing Isco a new contract, Bale was ‘transferable’ next summer.

According to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, the 27-year-old has grown frustrated with life at Madrid and will seek a return to the Premier League once the transfer market opens.

The criticism thrown Bale’s way by Madrid supporters, whilst wholly unjustified, is somewhat symptomatic of a wider culture at the Bernabeu that will, one day, spit you out just like it sucked you in. The likes of Arjen Robben, Robinho and Angel di Maria are examples of exactly this process.

And with Isco emerging as one of the finest talents in the world, along with players like Lucas Vázquez and Marco Asensio coming through the ranks, a new identity is being formed under Zinedine Zidane that is slowly but surely pushing Bale towards the exit door and perhaps in the direction of Old Trafford.
