Manchester United fans left frustrated by Henrikh Mkhitaryan despite goal against Everton

Henrikh Mkhitaryan once again frustrated Manchester United fans, despite scoring the Reds’ second goal against Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Before netting to take the game beyond the Toffees, Mkhitaryan had been proving wasteful in possession and ineffective for Man United.

The Armenian has, statistically, had a fantastic start to the season with a run of assists as United began the season scoring freely.

Yet his performances have often underwhelmed and that proved to be the case again against the Toffees.

Of course, Mkhitaryan can continue to have poor overall performances if he continues to produce the final ball required that Man United are otherwise missing, or finishing chances as he did in the 83rd minute against Everton.

If that is the case, José Mourinho will have little choice but to keep him in the side. But if the assists and goals dry up and Mkhitaryan is left solely with poor performances, and things only ‘almost’ coming off, the 28-year-old must be replaced in the side.
