Manchester United have received an important injury boost ahead of their visit to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League after right back and star player Mario Fernandes was ruled out with a concussion.
The Brazilian, who has been at the club since 2012 and made 36 appearances last season, suffered a nasty collision during CSKA’s goalless draw with Dynamo Moscow on Saturday.
Jose Mourinho, on the other hand, will head into the game with Paul Pogba still injured, while Marouane Fellaini and Nemanja Matic are doubts.
And Russian football expert Artur Petrosyan has confirmed that Fernandes will be unavailable for Man United’s visit to Moscow on Wednesday.

This is another blessing from the football gods for United soon after Christian Benteke was ruled out of Saturday’s clash with United after damaging ligaments against Manchester City.
Fernandes is one of those players who have proven to be simply irreplaceable for CSKA over the years. He offers fluidity and discipline down the right hand side and provides an important attacking dynamic from deep, and the Russians will be weaker without him.
His replacement will most likely be the technically inferior but experienced Kirill Nababkin. Anthony Martial will fancy his chances, that’s for sure.
