Romelu Lukaku has posted a photo of himself in good spirits as he continues to recover from an ankle injury ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Anfield on October 14.
The 24-year-old picked up a knock during Man United’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend and hasn’t managed to train with the Belgium first team as a result.
And it was recently confirmed that Lukaku wouldn’t recover in time for Belgium’s World Cup qualifier with Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday night.
The striker has posted a photo of himself following a session with ‘Move to Cure’ – a popular rehabilitation centre for Belgian athletes.

The replies to this tweet tell you the story. Please, Romelu, just come back to Manchester and don’t play any more meaningless qualifiers. With Liverpool around the corner, the idea of losing Lukaku to injury is unthinkable.
Thankfully, the very reason behind why Lukaku isn’t heading back to Manchester just yet is because his injury isn’t serious and that the medical staff believe he could return to full fitness in time for the home clash with Cyprus on Tuesday night.
Supporters will just pray that Roberto Martinez doesn’t take any chances with their side’s star man up front this season.
