Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has claimed that his team have what it takes to win the Premier League title this season if they continue their good start.
The Ivorian has been heavily involved for the Red Devils since the start of the Premier League’s new edition, contributing to the team’s great form.
Thankfully for him, Rojo is still injured and Lindelof is still adjusting to his new surroundings meaning Eric has to contend with the two Englishman for now.
The Red Devils have incredibly kept six clean sheets out of the seven Premier League games played so far and will be looking to keep another when they face Liverpool after the international break.
According to Evening Standard, Bailly said to United Review: “This year there is more desire, more success at everything we do.
“It’s important to see the team starting off well in top form, and I think that with the work we’ve done, and the work by the manager and the staff, we’ll continue the way we’ve begun and that will lead us to the Premier League title.”
An unbeaten start may be tough to continue for the rest of the season but Eric’s positive words echoes that of his teammates.
The Manchester United camp are clearly benefitting from a friendly and focused atmosphere created at the training ground.
All the players appear to get along with one another and there are yet to be any horrible reports on a clash of personalities.
However, winning can breed teamwork just as much as losing can cause it all to fall apart and as such, United are yet to be tested this season in that regard.
Mourinho has strangely claimed he wants to see his team lose in order to see how they would react but every Manchester United fan will be hoping that day never comes.
