Juan Mata was heavily criticised for his performance today against a determined Huddersfield team who managed to steal all three points under Manchester United’s nose.
The home team scored a quick-fire double before the first half ended and Mata didn’t even get to continue after the half-time team-talk.
Jose Mourinho was clearly frustrated with the Spaniard’s display and took him off along with a booked Anthony Martial in the hopes of turning the game on it’s head.
It was one of the substitutes who scored in Marcus Rashford but unfortunately for the Red Devils it wasn’t enough to secure a result.
The former Chelsea man was at fault for one of Huddersfield’s goals as he gave the ball away cheaply in midfield, much to fans agony.
What a rotten set of individual errors in the 1st half. The way i see it, Mata and Lindelof now owe us goals.

Two Silly Errors Cost Us On The Day , Unacceptable From Mata Losing The Ball On The Halfway Line & Lindelof Not Heading For The 2nd Goal

Mata will want to quickly put behind himself the poor performance but will surely be worried of the growing Mesut Ozil rumours.
The German midfielder can be signed for free as his contract with Arsenal ends in the summer and some fans believe he’d be an upgrade to Juan.
Mourinho has already previously sold the former Valencia man during the pair’s time at Chelsea and may be tempted to do so once more.
The player himself however reportedly refused a move to the Chinese Super League in favour of remaining at Old Trafford.
Should his performances continue to dwindle though, fans will start to believe that he no longer has a place in a developing Manchester United team.
