Manchester United comfortably beat Swansea 2-0 in the League Cup but it was the academy products who grabbed the headlines.
McTominay in particular was mature beyond his age and put in a good shift that’ll convince the manager to give him more minutes in the future.
The midfielder was composed, solid and hardly put a foot wrong against Premier League opponents who fielded a relatively strong eleven.
With United struggling to deal with injuries in the middle of the park, it was good to see a youngster come through and prove he can handle the pressures of the game.
About as comfortable as it could have been for United. Tuanzebe was very good. McTominay impressive, too. Positive night for Mourinho.

I swear Mctominay is at least a 7/10 every single match he plays. Hasn't put a foot wrong since he came into the squad #MUFC

McTominay is one of those names that is crying out to be shouted after he scores a crucial goal in stoppage time

Fans were definitely delighted with his performance and the academy product almost grabbed himself a goal to round off a good display.
The tough part of the season is coming up and Jose Mourinho will certainly call upon Scott more often in the future, much to fans joy.
With progress into the latter stages of the League Cup secured, McTominay will surely at least get more game time in that competition if not anywhere else.
Whilst Andreas Pereira went out on loan to secure match experience, the Scotsman stayed at Old Trafford and has done well in the absence of the now Valencia man.
Pereira may return from his loan only to find out his spot was stolen by Scott should the young midfielder continue to build on his performance.
