Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini could both return from injury after travelling with the Manchester United squad to London for Sunday’s clash against Chelsea.

The Reds will be without Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the trip to the Premier League champions, but the Manchester Evening News’ Samuel Luckhurst revealed on Saturday afternoon that United could be boosted by a double-return.

Rojo has been unavailable since April after suffering serious ligament damage in United’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final second-leg against Anderlecht. Fellaini picked up an injury during the October international break while with Belgium and hasn’t played since.

United need their injury list to reduce in size, but it’s the comeback of French midfielder Paul Pogba that most Reds are eagerly awaiting. He is the star man.

However, Fellaini was in superb form, the best of his career at Old Trafford, before his injury and had certainly earned manager Jose Mourinho’s trust.

It seems unlikely that either player would start on Sunday, but it’s great news that their definitely nearing a comeback and may get some minutes.
