Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has praised his club teammate Paul Pogba for the amount of quality he brings to the squad.
Pogba returned for the Red Devils in their clash vs Newcastle United and helped restore the club to winning ways.
A goal and an assist in his first match since he suffered his injury, Paul continued his fine start to the season.
Many United fans feared that the Frenchman’s absence would halt the good displays supporters saw from him in the beginning of the latest edition of the Premier League but the academy product slotted right in and performed admirably.
Ibrahimovic did not withhold his praise for his colleague and the pair’s off field relationship is there for all to see.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Zlatan said: “I can talk of what Paul brings – big quality. Against Newcastle it was like he hasn’t been injured for a month, he brings such big quality, a different quality and I bring experience and mine [quality].
“I try to help the guys [as] much as possible and do what I can.”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic himself returned from his own, heavier injury during the match vs Newcastle but only made a substitute appearance.
Coming on for another impressive Frenchman in Anthony Martial, the Swedish hero went right to the striker position, pushing Romelu Lukaku out wide to the right flank.
Many questioned the decision and claimed that this would mean Lukaku and Ibrahimovic are unlikely to form a successful partnership in two different positions.
How Jose Mourinho plans to use both strikers consistently is yet to be seen but it’s unlikely that fans will see them play together often.
Paul Pogba meanwhile proved to United fans that their faith in him was not a false fatih and showed to the world just how different he is to the rest of the club’s midfield men.
