Manchester United full-back Ashley Young was at the receiving end of supporter’s praise after his display vs Brighton Hove & Albion in the Premier League.
The England international was responsible for the Red Devils’ opening goal of the game after a deflection allowed his initial shot beat the keeper.
Up until the goal was scored the match was in a tense moment with either side capable of swinging the result in their favour.
Instead it was United’s defender who managed to let loose with a fizzed shot and got the reward for his gamble.
Young has been in impressive form so far this season and continued his dominance out wide with fans recognising his revival as a full-back.
Ashley Young winding back the years with that deflected goal. Could carry huge importance.
Young has performed well every time he's played this season. Kudos.

How Ashley Young transformed from Tricky Winger to Specialist Left Back we will never know

Ashley Young has been absolutely phenomenal this year, 3 years after I wrote him off. I know nothing.

It was only fitting for Ashley Young to get the goal.
Shown the best desire today.

Ashley has faced some serious competition out wide from the club’s other defenders but has risen above them all impressively.
Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Luke Shaw have all played in the left-back position for the Red Devils in the past few seasons but Young has been Jose Mourinho’s favourite so far this season.
The former Watford man proved just why he’s the manager’s favourite with a goal and his forays forward are similar to those of another former winger in Antonio Valencia.
His competitors have hardly given much to shout about with Rojo seen more as a centre-back now, having put in some solid performances in that position.
Darmian meanwhile, has shown good versatility but little else, hardly offering anything moving forward in comparison to the England international.
Blind’s lack of pace is worrying and Shaw’s attitude has meant he’s lost his manager’s favour leaving Jose with just Young to rely on.
