Manchester United’s David de Gea asks for Real Madrid move: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United’s world class goalkeeper David de Gea has reportedly asked for a Real Madrid move to happen, sending fans into a frenzy.

The Spaniard is perhaps the only world class player in the current squad with Paul Pogba coming close to contention but falling just short of the title.

Almost singly handedly saving the club points consistently throughout the last few seasons, De Gea has risen to the top of world football and is obviously the target of many quality European clubs.

Madrid had their chance to sign the keeper a few years ago and embarrassingly failed, leaving United supporters thanking a faulty fax machine for the successful attempt in tying him down to Old Trafford.

Although it looked as though the former Atletico Madrid man put the transfer saga behind himself, reports now claim he’s aiming for a move to Zinedine Zidane’s side.

According to Daily Star, Don Balon report that David has asked his agent to get a move to the Santiago Bernabeu completed as he’s desperate to finally get his dream transfer.

It appears as though the Spanish media are trying to get the flames of the transfer saga going once more and one must ask how true are the rumours?

Whilst David de Gea was keen on a move to Real Madrid, would he leave Manchester United half way through a season to join a side struggling in their own division?

Some reports have claimed that De Gea has always assumed Madrid would come back for him and apparently Zinedine Zidane has lost interest in signing Atletico Bilbao keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, despite him being available for free in the summer.
