Manchester United have reportedly given Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez a transfer ultimatum as the race for him continues to heat up.
Fierce rivals Manchester City are also said to be interested in the Chilean who is currently looking for a way out from London.
The Red Devils have bid for Sanchez despite his contract running out in the summer in the hopes of beating their competitors to his signature.
City have also shown interested but are said to have not been willing to meet Jose Mourinho’s valuation of the star winger.
With news of his next destination seemingly imminent, both Manchester clubs will hope their credentials and history can win him over.
According to the Metro, the Sunday Express report that United are not willing to wait until the end of the transfer window for Sanchez and will move on quickly if he doesn’t make a decision soon.
Mourinho’s side currently have other names that are targeting such as PSG’s Lucas Moura and Bayer Leverkusen’s young star Leon Bailey.
The Portuguese manager though perhaps wishes to sign a proven top player in Alexis Sanchez but is willing to move on from him quickly if he continues to delay his decision.
Manchester United do not wish to rely on a single player for the whole window and are worried of looking foolish should they be left empty handed.
Moura is said to be desperate for a move to Old Trafford and it appears as though the French giants aren’t asking for an expensive price tag to be met.
