Jose Mourinho advises Real Madrid who to replace Zinedine Zidane with: report

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly been up to no good with his former club Real Madrid, advising them on who to replace Zinedine Zidane with.

The French boss has had a remarkably successful time at the Spanish giants but has seen his side slip up horribly in La Liga this season.

With Madrid just about winning everything available to them last season, it’s come as a shock to see them fail to extend that into a period of continuous dominance.

Instead it has been Barcelona who’ve succeed so far in La Liga, bouncing back after their failures last season with a new manager at the helm.

Mourinho though has apparently been busy too with affairs that aren’t directly related to his current club, reportedly advising Real president Floretino Perez on the Zidane situation.

According to Caught Offside, Sport Witness translate Mundo Deportivo report that claims that Jose has told Florentino to chase after Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino’s signature.

Should the Argentine manager replace Zinedine then it could possibly help the Portuguese boss in the long term when all things are considered. It could merely be conspiracy but the media have never failed to put that past Jose Mourinho previously and so it may be a smart move for Pochettino.

Mourinho seems to be working on weakening his rivals as much as possible; attempting to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, sending Mauricio to Madrid and playing mind games with Antonio Conte whose side have since gone on a run of draws. If you were a gambling man on a free slots machine, you’d be seeing three Mourinho faces in a row right now – he seems to be winning these sorts of battles.

Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp would be right in watching over there shoulders if this trend is to mean anything at all.
