Manchester United players have taken to social media to welcome the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

The Chile international was unveiled by the club on Monday night after an agreement with Arsenal for a straight swap involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan was reached over the weekend.

Arsene Wenger admitted that Man United were getting a “world class” player and the 28-year-old, speaking soon after penning his four-and-a-half year contract, noted that he was “thrilled” to be joining the “biggest club in the world.”

And Man United players were quick to hand a warm welcome to the club’s new No.7.

Jesse Lingard was, of course, the most extravagant of them all, reminding Arsenal fans of the time he Milly Rocked on their ground whilst also finding time to take the piss out of Piers Morgan, who definitely didn’t understand the Englishman’s response.

David de Gea, who made a truly miraculous save from one of Sanchez’s shots earlier this season, was another to welcome Sanchez to the club.

Ashley Young has always been a proficient Twitter user and he was also on hand to send a message to the Chilean. Supporters will hope to see the pair strike up a strong partnership on either flank this season.
