Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez will be part of the squad that travels to Yeovil Town on Friday night.
The Chile international, despite being close to joining Manchester City, became a Manchester United player earlier this week.
And supporters, with speculation surrounding his name officially put to bed, have been waiting to see if Sanchez makes his debut against the League 2 side, and where he will play.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, Mourinho confirmed that Man United’s new No.7 would indeed travel with the squad to face Yeovil.

Whether the 29-year-old starts at Huish Park is another matter entirely. He would have only had two – perhaps three – training sessions with the squad and Mourinho may elect to bring him into the game later on, preferably with United home and dry.
And yet, at the same time, Sanchez is not a player who needs to be eased in at this level. This is somebody who, regardless of circumstance, just wants to play until his legs literally don’t allow him to anymore.
That raw aggression on the ball, a kind of insatiable desire to power through defences single handedly, may indeed come in handy against a Yeovil side that will pack the defence.
