Ian Wright hails Alexis Sanchez’s influence on Manchester United

Arsenal fans will be disgusted to hear their former player Ian Wright hail Manchester United’s new signing Alexis Sanchez for his influence on the team.

The winger made his debut for his new club against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup, contributing two assists in a 4-0 win away from home.

Sanchez certainly didn’t waste any time to make an impact at United and his Premier League debut will surely be keenly watched by supporters all over the world.

Jose Mourinho decided to substitute his star player off in what one can only assume is due to the footballer’s need for a rest after a stressful week.

Alexis’ transfer at times seemed to be far from completion but he’ll certainly be hoping that the rest of his career goes the way it did tonight.

Wright’s praise for the Chilean international is pleasing to see given a host of the media, including pundits, have chosen to vilify him for making the switch to Old Trafford.

Although Ian made no attempt to hide the pain of losing such a quality player, he did not withhold complimenting Alexis Sanchez either.

His assessment is also fair to say, it was the former Barcelona man who was clearly the most influential player on the pitch when half time came around.

With Yeovil fighting so impressively during the opening moments of the match, it was Sanchez’s ability that helped the match swing in Manchester United’s favour, sending the club into the next round of the FA Cup.
