Manchester United’s board have reportedly already begun to consider candidates to replace current manager Jose Mourinho in the future.
The Portuguese boss has only just extended his contract to the year 2020 with the club as the hierarchy aim for long term stability under his management.
However, news arose of possible future managers who can overtake Mourinho presumably when his contract runs out after the recent loss vs Tottenham.
United hardly put up a fight against the dynamic, composed London club but any talk of replacing the former Chelsea coach is surely premature.
The board certainly have faith in him now and the matter of replacing him is purely in the future when he decides to leave.
According to the Express, Manchester Evening News report that the Red Devils are considering Mauricio Pochettino, Carlo Ancelotti and Max Allegri as the possible managers to replace Jose in the future.
Jose Mourinho has hardly been known to remain at clubs for long and although there’s a sense that he’s enjoying his time at Old Trafford, expectations are that he won’t remain anywhere near the length Sir Alex Ferguson did.
One club managers are almost definitely a thing of the past in the modern football world and the assumption is that the tactician will decide to leave once he feels his job is complete.
Perhaps Mourinho will take up the opportunity of moving into international management as he previously stated his desire to lead his nation to glory.
However, he did say that will only be the case in the future and so who knows what his next move possibly is.
