Jorginho’s agent confirms there has been no contact with Manchester United over summer move

Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has confirmed that Manchester United have not made contact over the possibility of signing the Brazilian this summer.

Jose Mourinho is on the lookout for midfielders ahead of Michael Carrick‘s retirement and Marouane Fellaini‘s departure from the club.

And the midfielder’s superb form for Napoli this season, combined with Santos claiming he would listen to offers in the summer, has culminated in reported interest from Man United.

But Santos, speaking in a recent interview, has made it clear that United have not established their interest in Jorginho as of yet.

“As a player for one of the most important national teams, and a club fighting for the Scudetto, it’s clear he’ll be looked at by these clubs,” he said.

“I’ve spoken with [Napoli sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli three times in recent months. He hasn’t told me anything, but I haven’t had any contact with [Manchester] United.”
