Marouane Fellaini has trained separately from the rest of the Belgium squad following further complications with an enduring knee problem.
The Belgian enjoyed a superb start to the season but suffered knee ligament damage during a friendly with Bosnia and Herzegovina in October.
It was thought he would only be out for a month but continued problems with his knee has limited him to just two starts since September.
And Fellaini, included in the Belgium squad for their friendly with Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, has trained separately from the main group.

United may have avoided such a profound slump in efficiency going forward following Paul Pogba’s injury against FC Basel, which kept him out for two months, had Fellaini also remained fit.
Performances against the likes of Southampton and Crystal Palace saw the Belgian, through sheer physical presence, throw a spanner into opposition momentum whilst providing a unique threat going forward, allowing Mourinho’s men to maintain the control that had hallmarked the opening stages of their season.
But injuries have taken him out of the picture, and it may not be too long before he departs Jose Mourinho’s lineup for good.
