From France: Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United this summer

Anthony Martial has grown frustrated with his lack of game time at Manchester United and will seek a new challenge in the summer instead of signing a new contract at Old Trafford, according to reports from France.

The Frenchman enjoyed a remarkable start to the season under Jose Mourinho and has claimed three ‘Player of the Season’ awards.

But his relationship with Mourinho is thought to have soured since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez; the Frenchman has only made two starts since the Chilean joined over the January transfer window.

And according to RMC Sport, Martial will reject a new deal at Old Trafford and find a new club in the summer after growing exasperated at a lack of playing time.

This is worrying because RMC, particularly with Martial news, are quite accurate. And you cannot help but feel as if the 22-year-old is indeed frustrated about his predicament under Mourinho at this given time: he had relentlessly fought his way into the starting XI over December and January, only to be brushed to one side as soon as Alexis came through the door.

Letting him leave would be criminal. He has hardly enjoyed a run of games this season but still tops the list when it comes to combined goals and assists (21). The sight of Mourinho letting yet another young talent leave would no doubt prompt a nuclear reaction from supporters.
