Ronaldinho has insisted Paul Pogba can learn a lot from Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho and called on him to respect the manager.
The Frenchman was reported to have clashed with the Portuguese boss because of tactical problems though both parties deny any issues.
Pogba’s inconsistencies this season have seem him heavily criticised by the press as well as Mourinho but he’s still had a decent season regardless.
Ronaldinho believes the former Juventus man already has everything in place at Old Trafford and should respect his manager’s decisions more to smooth things over.
The former Barcelona man was once linked with a move to United at one point during his playing days and it certainly would’ve been interesting to see what could’ve been.
According to Metro, Ronaldinho said: “He knows the substitutes’ bench, like me at Paris Saint-Germain with [former coach Luis] Fernandez. It is not the same, when Mourinho tells you that you’re on the bench you have to respect that, the other guy, a little less.
“I think Paul really has a lot to learn from Mourinho, who is one of the best coaches in the world. A coach who has won so many titles should be respected. In my case, it was the opposite.
“He is already in a big club and he has everything needed to make history, whether it is this club or another he has to be where he feels happiest.”
There’s certainly an exaggeration on the media’s behalf though Paul and Jose don’t appear to be all hugs and kisses in the public eye.
The former Real Madrid manager isn’t one to visibly show his support or condemnation of a player and is often a level-headed person.
The good news at least is that whatever happened has affected either one’s performance and neither seem to be on their way out of Manchester United.
