Manchester United star David de Gea has won BBC’s Match of the Day ‘save of the season’ award adding to his inclusion in the PFA’s squad of the season award.

Although Jose Mourinho’s men could end the season trophy-less should they fail to beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final, the Spaniard has won multiple individual awards.

De Gea has been in outstanding form once more this Premier League campaign and looks set to win the player of the year award for United yet again.

Such is the goalkeeper’s talents that he’s outshone his teammates though the outfield players must feel a little embarrassed of themselves.

Romelu Lukaku is perhaps the only other player in the Red Devils squad who’s been consistent all season long but David has been head and shoulders above the rest.

Though David de Gea was less instrumental in Manchester United’s win over Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, he was certainly crucial in their first win against the London club at the Emirates.

Mourinho has completed the double over Arsene Wenger in the Premier League and it was thanks to Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini that it happened.

De Gea is yet to be tied down to a new contract as of yet but all the signs point towards him remaining at Old Trafford for a few more seasons.
